The new REACH (Registration Evaluation Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals) regulation has started the Pre-Registration period of existing substances from 1^st June 2008, ending 30^th November 2008.

We at Contico Manufacturing Limited as a B2B importer are continuing the process required to comply with the products relevant to this legislation.

We work closely with all our customers and our supply chain and strive to achieve an excellent exchange of information including SDS (Safety Data Sheets) etc. as a downstream user or substance dossiers if an importer.

DMF (ban on Dimethylfumarate)

The EU legislation 2009/251/EC and UK Regulation 35 of General Product Safety Regulations covers leather goods and packaging where DMF is used in its manufacture or as a mould retardant in packaging (small white sashets). These constitute a potential health risk.

We do not believe that any of our products are affected by DMF but are in the process of following this up with our manufacturers to confirm this. We will keep all informed via this web site when we have any further information
